Coastal Living Room

Our brief for this project was transforming a non-functional living room into a space that could be used by the whole family and entertain friends. The client wanted to strike a balance between traditional and coastal design, driving us to incorporate texture, pattern, and scale, creating a dynamic space.

In order to maximize the space and accommodate more seating, a custom sofa-chaise was selected and positioned against the window, allowing two chairs to mirror opposite the sofa, while maintaining great flow and without closing off the space.

The selection of swivel chairs creates a zone for fluid conversations and the stacked cocktail tables provide flexibility and function for placing drinks. Two customised pouffes were introduced with multiple functions: as footstools and additional seating when needed.

To pique interest and keep the conversation going, a bar console was chosen with storage for cocktail accessories, books, and accoutrements. The client fancied a touch of whimsy, which we introduced with custom drapes that also added a pop of colour.
